What is the difference with an original manufacturer’s limited part warranty and a coolCARE warranty?
A Manufacturer’s warranty with newly installed equipment is limited to the parts and does NOT cover labor fees for repairs. Some manufacturers do offer extended labor warranties options, but most (all) are limited to the brands that they manufacturer. Most equipment comes with a 5-year limited parts warranty and a 10-year limited parts warranty if the contractor or homeowner registers the equipment right after it is installed.
coolCARE is an extended warranty that contractors can offer to customers up to 2 years from the installation of a new system. The coverage piggybacks off of the manufacturer’s part warranty to cover labor and refrigerant for failed parts that the manufacturer parts warranties do cover.

What to ask customers at the counter to engage in a warranty conversation?
“Hey (persons name) does your company currently offer extended labor protection plans with refrigerant coverage to your customers on new equipment installs? “
Those that say no - “you should check out this option we offer here at Standard Supply called coolCARE. It’s a warranty that can be added to all brands of equipment to add more money to each job. Might even keep more customers engaged with your seasonal maintenance plans you offer since they’ll have an additional warranty that needs that performed annually.”
Those that say yes - “you should check out this option we offer here at Standard Supply called coolCARE. You could save thousands of dollars annually with the pricing advantage we typically have with lower premium cost. Option 1 Inclusive Withdraw
This strategy works by including a matching protection plan with the given OEM term on every install or each chosen system package. Then if the homeowner doesn't want or cost is to big of factor, the added value coverage can be withdrawn to a shortened length of the labor protection term to 5,3,2,or 1 years.
